BOUT 2 Down – now for BOUT 3
Cathus Smaxus | June 20, 2011BOUT 2 Down – now for BOUT 3
Thanks to all the fans for coming to brave the rain to see our last home bout. Sorry you all got wet out there – we are working hard on a wet weather plan so that doesn’t happen again. What a game – what a night. The atmosphere was as electric as the weather. The Vipers played their hearts out with some outstanding performances. Slightly low on numbers they kept the pace and pressure on for the entire bout. But congratulations to the Vixens who took the game winning (INSERT SCORE??). They played a well thought our game and dominated the bout. Fantastic job Vixens!
Keep checking back for details of our next bout Saturday 13th August 2011 – Skate Rattle and Roll.
With 5 home bouts of the series – this could be the decider or it could be the start of a Viper comeback.
With the crowd at capacity as the last bout you will definitely need to get your tickets early.
Stay Tuned.
WHERE HAVE WE BEEN SINCE
The travel team has been very busy competing the Eastern Region Roller Derby tournament that runs throughout the year. From the WIRD squad a team of 20 is chosen to bout a round robin against Sydney Roller Derby, Canberra and Western Sydney.
Known as the Steel City Derby Dolls the team has played two tournaments already with a third happening this month. These are skater only events
Last weekend saw us host another skater event – a friendly with a newly formed club from the central coast. The Steel City Derby Dolls won this (Insert score). A strong showing from both teams provided many newer derby girls a fantastic opportunity for bouting experience. It was a great night for all.
So although you may not have seen us we have been busy.
Look forward to seeing you in August.
