The epic battle continues! Not seen since the EERD final of 2013, two steel city giants will take to the track in a bout of brutal proportions! WIRD will host Newcastle Roller Derby League in “Steel City Skate City” the final WIRD home game of the year. Both teams have a reputation for big hits, daring moves and thrilling skills making this event unmissable. Sydney Roller Derby League’s C team and Newcastle’s B team will fight it out in the night’s opening event.

Carnival of Carnage sees Wollongong’s Steel City Derby Dolls take on the mighty Vice City Rollers from Canberra.
Fresh faces and old favourites take to the track in a hardcore, damaging game of Doll V Vice City Roller. Will the Dolls return with the same magic they displayed earlier in the year in Tasmania, or will the Rollers dish out a total destruction?
The Vice City Rollers are among the best teams in Australia, placing 6th at the Great Southern Slam (the 2012 National Title) With players such as Short Stop and Bambi Von Smasher developing widespread and enviable reputations, CRDL are at the forefront of the roller derby revolution. It’s rare to see the Rollers out of
their natural Canberran habitat, so get your tickets before the carnival leaves town.
